Description:
The Medical Dictionary for Regular Activities (MedDRA), is a medical terminology system used for all phases of drug development. A MedDRA coding specialist assigns codes using this system to record adverse change in health or side effects of people who ingest the drugs in clinical trials.

This webinar provides a brief overview of MedDRA; scope, structure, and characteristics of MedDRA, introduction to the MedDRA Term Selection process; Hierarchy levels in MedDRA, application of the terminology in coding clinical data with coding examples under various case scenarios. This Webinar is designed to provide an additional hands-on coding experience to users having experience or new to MedDRA coding.

The objective is to develop comprehensive coding skills with discussion on different examples of coding and unusual coding terms.

Why Should you Attend:
This webinar is for MedDRA users interested in a quick, easy-to-understand introduction to MedDRA coding principles. Personnel who may code with MedDRA occasionally or who will review data coded by others will find this webinar helpful. This is an opportunity for participants to gain a basic understanding of MedDRA and its applications in the coding, retrieval, and analysis of clinical data.

Objectives of the Presentation:
The principal objective of this presentation is to learn about:
Why we "code" data – MedDRA Overview
MedDRA's structure, scope, and characteristics.
MedDRA Term Selection: Points to Consider document
Basic coding approaches with examples
Standardized MedDRA Queries (SMQs)
How to be a certified MedDRA coder

Who can Benefit:
