The conference offers you the opportunity to hear the latest regional Maritime Border Protection Programmes and assess how different regional agencies are securing maritime borders and coastlines.
Effective border security is a major challenge across the Asia Pacific. Critical, daily issues involving criminal activities, include drug trafficking, the smuggling of weapons and other illegal contraband, and human trafficking. In addition, there is always the issue of security from terrorist attacks which is certainly a major concern that drives many border security considerations.
