Conference Description:
The European Conference on Underwater Acoustics 'ECUA' has been initiated by the European Commission with the help of three European Acoustical Societies (IOA, DEGA, SFA) , thanks to their support since 1992 it became an established and renowned conference series.
The first conference was held in the European Parliament buildings in Luxemburg in 1992 with very active support of the EC. Subsequent conferences have been organized every two years. ECUA is now a self running conference organized by an ad-hoc committee.
It gathers 300 to 600 participants from all over the world.
