Today's challenges simply cannot be tackled with ready-made solutions. The world has become far too unpredictable and profoundly complex and as a result, organisations must adapt and evolve to market conditions, customer expectations and economic pressures.
At this event, we have brought together two expert commentators on business management and strategy - Tim Harford, The Undercover Economist and Freek Vermeulen, Professor of Strategy at London Business School. The conference will challenge the common perceptions of business management, re-examining a number of core management ideas and practices while also looking at the importance of adaptive, trial-and-error processes in tackling issues.
Tim will argue that organisations must be willing to adapt and improvise, making incremental improvements rather than sweeping changes. Freek will look at why the reality of business management and corporate strategy is far removed from what we would expect.
