Conference Description:

This 90-minute Record Keeping for a Food Recall training will help you understand why records are a key factor in the recall decision and determination process for companies, customers and regulators. You will learn about the types of records and how data available through proper record keeping can limit and sometimes prevent a product recall.

Why Should You Attend:

Lack of sufficient records erodes confidence in the ability of a company to control food safety. Records are the method by which companies demonstrate an effective HACCP plan and evaluate processes for continuous improvement. Retention of production documentation, self audits and employee training provide evidence of control and enhances the ability of the company’s legal department to mount an effective defense. Recalls can be averted or at least minimized by good record keeping.

This 90-minute training will cover how you can design and implement effective record keeping. We will discuss how you can have data available that identifies the amount of affected inventory, tells the story of how food protection was implemented and document the location of product post processing. The speaker will cover key factors or components that can limit and sometimes prevent a product recall.
