Conference Description:

A public conference identifying and exploring means to achieve accountability for extraordinary rendition in North Carolina and at the regional level.

In extraordinary rendition, the U.S. government has "disappeared" detainees and secretly transported them to places abroad where they are held incommunicado and tortured during interrogation.
