Conference Description:

DefenceIQ’s Ground Based Air & Missile Defence conference is now in its 3rd year

It is clear that achieving capable Air and Missile defence remains crucial. Strategic threats to national security such as Iran and North Korea continue to evolve while low-tech asymmetric threats endanger expeditionary forces and certain population centres.

To defeat the increasingly broad nature of air-based threats, new technologies and platforms are constantly becoming available that go some way in helping the military to achieve their elusive goal – a fully integrated air and missile defence ‘system of systems’ that is capable of defeating any threat that enters its envelope.

Open strategic communication and cooperation between allied states and the defence industry is necessary to maximise accuracy in threat and future requirement assessments. These assessments are critical to ensure the protection of airspace and maintenance of national security. Defence IQ’s Ground Based Air & Missile Defence conference will address the key challenges and solutions in this critical Air and Missile defence industry. The speed of technology developments and the continued proliferation of weapons to rogue nations and asymmetric factions has resulted in an agenda focus that will deliver detailed insight into:

# Threat Analysis and Procurement
Gain expert insight from leaders in this field covering latest Threat Assessment, current programmes in development and how challenges such as C2 integration of radar and sensors are being met to provide multi-role systems
# Modernisation of weapon systems
Assess future Air Defence requirements and procurement needs as nations strive for greater NATO integration
# Dealing with operational asymmetric threats
Hear about tactical threat assessment and operational use and future developments of C-RAM and CIWS weapons
