Conference Description:

The theme invites ideas on how to achieve more efficient use of resources based largely on the IoT-based machine-to-machine (M2M) interactions of millions of smart meters and sensors in the smart grid specific communication networks such as home area networks, building area networks, and neighborhood area networks. The smart grid also encompasses IoT technologies, which monitor transmission lines, manage substations, integrate renewable energy generation (e.g., solar or wind), and utilize hybrid vehicle batteries.

All accepted papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world’s largest scientific libraries.
Proceedings from EAI conferences are indexed in leading indexing services, including EI Elsevier Engineering Index, Thomson Scientific ISI Proceedings, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).

Authors of selected best accepted, registered, and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:
WINET Special Issue on Internet of Things for Smart Living (Springer, IF: 1.584)

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following:
IoT enabled smart grid architectures and models, Communication networks for smart grids and smart metering
, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) communication and management
, Smart grid cyber security, Simulation and performance analysis of smart grid communications and operations, Demand side management, machine-to-machine (M2M) networks for smart grid
