Dear colleagues!
The Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ICG SB RAS) will organize 11th International Multiconference on “Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure\Systems Biology” – BGRS\SB-2018 on 20-25 of August, 2018 in Novosibirsk, Russia: http://conf.bionet.nsc.ru/bgrssb2018/
Since 1998, the conference of BGRS\SB series are held every two years. Highly qualified specialists working on interdisciplinary tasks in the fields of modern bioinformatics, computer system biology and their applications in various problems of biology, medicine, pharmacology, bioengineering, biotechnology, genetics and plant and animal breeding, etc., gather in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok to discuss actual issues and present their scientific results.
In 2016, Multiconference BGRS\SB-2016 was attended by 628 (90 foreigner) researchers and students from 25 countries. 309 reports were presented (134 oral and 175 posters; materials are available at: BGRSSB2016 proceedings/)
Multiconference BGRS\SB-2018 will include the following research sections and meetings:

• Symposium “Biodiversity: genomics and evolution”
• Symposium “Mathematical modeling and high-performance computing in bioinformatics, biomedicine and biotechnology”
• Symposium “Systems biology and bioinformatics of DNA repair processes and programmed cell death”

Chairman of the multiconference program committee: Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Nikolay Kolchanov.
The conference language is English.
Opening of the multiconference, as before, will take place in the House of Scientists of the Academgorodok (Novosibirsk). The sections and symposia will be held in the new building of the Novosibirsk State University.
At the end of the multi-conference BGRS\SB-2018, the traditional Young Scientists School “Bioinformatics and Systems Biology” (SBB-2018) will begin. Lectures and practical classes will be held at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the SB RAS.
After the Multiconference, the abstracts recommended by the Program Committee will be published as full-text articles in special issues of international journals indexed in Web-of-Science - BMC Genomics (BioMedCentral) and the Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (World Scientific Publishing Co. Pte Ltd). There will also be the possibility of publication in journals indexed in Scopus and Russian Science Citation Index ("Vavilov Journal of Genetics and Breeding").
After BGRS\SB-16 there were special issues in the journals of the publishing house BioMedCentral - BMC Genomics, BMC Evolutionary Biology, BMC Systems Biology (see http://www.biomedcentral.com/bmcgenomics /supplements/15/S12). After previous conferences of the BGRS series, the thematic issues of the Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (JBCB) (http://www.worldscientific.com/toc/jbcb /13/01) were published in 2014, 2012 and 2006.
For the conference participants the organizers prepared an interesting cultural program including: city tours to Novosibirsk, museums, a zoo, and a pre-conference tour to the Altai. Details you can find on the conference website.
